Alan Sydney Patrick Rickman was born in February 21th, in 1946. He is perhaps best known to American film audiences for his roles as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films and Hans Gruber in Die Hard. He also featured prominently as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. More recently, Rickman portrayed Judge Turpin in Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.He is a versatile actor, because he can play many types of roles, such as dangerous and romantic roles. In his role in Harry Potter films, Rickman seems to be a very strict teacher and one of the worst characters in Harry Potter's film. His role is played with an unbelievable naturalness.
